Seaglass Necklace(Cobalt Blue)

Handpicked Seaglass straight from the Salish Sea.

Chain and Findings are Hypoallergenic 925 silver.

Each Piece is collected on the South Coast of Vancouver Island.

Minor chips and cracks are removed by hand and upon completion of the piece, it is given a "bath" in a mineral oil mixture which brings out the natural luster and colour of the piece.

True Seaglass takes decades to form and this process includes the tide, ocean waves, sand and rocks working in tandem to slowly but surely turn a piece of glass into a beautiful treasure that was crafted by nature and somehow found it's way to the shores of West Coast British Columbia. 

The next step, that of me finding it, is truely a one in million chance as the world's natural process somehow synchs with me and every step of my day leading me to the exact spot at the exact time with the exact angle and determination needed to find any one particular piece.

When the person it's meant for purchases that piece and this seaglass, having spent decades and decades of it's life in the crashing ocean waves ends up around the neck, or ears of that person, it's journey ends with it becoming a beautiful reminder of it's own mysterious adventure and it's eventual path to you

The magic of this process is easy to overlook but if you take a moment to fully comprehend the chances of it surviving the ocean, being discovered and lovingly created into a beautiful and truely one of a kind piece of jewlery you will never look at Seaglass the same way ever again.
